May 2nd, 2005 | Bhs new design studio invest in Tex-Design
Tex-Data have secured the contract to supply apparel design software to the new design studios at leading high street favourite Bhs.
Thirteen Licenses of the Tex-Design™ CAD solution coupled with an extensive training schedule have recently been implemented. With the addition of the Tex-Knit, Tex-Check and Tex-Line plug-ins, the design teams at Bhs will be able to create and present realistic imaging of their latest lines.
Tex-Design is an apparel specific software application that enables the user to create realistic 2D images that represent the shape, colour and texture of a design before it has even been made.
The all in one nature of Tex-Design not only creates visually superior designs but also enables technically enhanced storyboards that will show the design range, knit simulations (including gauges), accurate product visualisations and an extensive colour palette.
The representation of the designs within the software are so accurate that designers know exactly what their product will look like as well as providing the exact technical information required by manufacturers.

September 12th, 2004 | Tex-Data cut waste at Derek Rose Pyjamas
Exclusive nightwear designers Derek Rose Pyjamas has sought to streamline its design process with the installation of Tex-Design, Koppermann's design application from Tex-Data Design Solutions.
With the implementation of Tex-Design, Derek Rose has been able to subtly alter a design and quickly apply it to the technical drawing of a garment, enabling them to visualise the design in its correct context and identify if the design needs any further changes.
As well as aiding the design creation, Tex-Design has also helped to maximise resources and minimise timescales within the company.
The traditional design method of cutting and pasting patterns together, and weaving a sample produced a minimum sample cloth of 20m that was often wasted. However, all design concepts can now be created and visualised within Tex-Design thus reducing unnecessary sampling and wastage.
By producing designs within Tex-Design Derek Rose is able to present to customers a range of designs and colour variations in a very short space of time, something that just wasn't possible with the old way of working.
